On April 27, 2015, Nyman Turkish Partners, Jason Turkish and Melissa Nyman, filed a lawsuit against the Wayne County Airport Authority on behalf of clients Michigan Flyer and Indian Trails. The complaint alleges violations of Title V of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Specifically, the suit was brought “to put an end to Defendant Wayne County Airport Authority’s corrupt and unlawful retaliatory conduct following Plaintiffs’ participation in support of persons with disabilities bringing claims of disability discrimination…” The complaint alleges that after providing assistance to two disabled passengers in their lawsuit against the WCAA, “the Plaintiffs [Michigan Flyer & Indian Trails] were immediately and severely retaliated against by the Defendant, in blatant violation of the anti-retaliation provisions of the ADA.” The case is currently being litigated in the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
