Coriann McMillen is an Associate Attorney at the Michigan office of Nyman Turkish P.C. She advocates for individuals navigating the complexities of disability hearings. Her work is driven by a deep commitment to justice and a passion for empowering those whose voices are often unheard.
Coriann earned her Juris Doctor from Detroit Mercy Law in 2023 and is admitted to practice in the State of Michigan. She is an active member of the legal community, serving on the Board of the Wolverine Bar Association and participating in the Association of Black Law Alumni (ABLA), an affiliate of the Detroit Mercy Law Alumni Association.
Before joining Nyman Turkish, Coriann served as a Public Defender in Wayne County. In that role, she successfully argued cases at the preliminary stages, won motions on their merits, and prevailed in every trial she led. Her time as a public defender was transformative—it revealed the urgent need for strong, compassionate representation for individuals with disabilities, especially those entangled in the criminal justice system. This experience ignited her dedication to disability law and inspired her to pursue a career where she could make a meaningful impact.
Coriann is passionate about giving a voice to individuals who often have no one else to speak for them and guiding them through some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Her advocacy is rooted in empathy, resilience, and a belief that everyone deserves to be heard and treated with dignity.
Outside of her legal work, Coriann enjoys attending church, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
