Ryan Kaiser is the Director of Client Services and Senior Associate Attorney at Nyman Turkish PC in the Southfield, Michigan office. In this role he oversees case management for our Social Security Disability practice. Ryan is deeply passionate about his role as an advocate for clients and believes it brings justice and opportunity to those the firm represents.

Before moving into this position, Ryan specialized in disability discrimination litigation while providing support to our Social Security department. He is a fierce advocate for his clients and is willing to take on the country’s largest corporations and government entities to protect the rights of individuals with disabilities.

Ryan is recognized as a Rising Star in the legal profession by the prestigious organization Super Lawyers. He completed his legal training at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During law school, Ryan served as a Senior Associate Editor for the Cooley Law Review and worked in the Sixty Plus Elder law Clinic, where he received the Board of Director’s Award for outstanding lawyering. He was also a teaching assistant in the professional responsibility department and served as an Associate Justice on the Student Bar Association judicial board.

In addition to law, Ryan enjoys acting, performing music, fishing, and spending time with his wife, Laura. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in political science from Alma College with a minor in theatre. Ryan’s unique background on the stage gives him the tools to be an effective litigator and advocate.

  • Served as co-counsel in a landmark case against the State of Michigan that resulted in a consent decree allowing blind individuals to vote absentee and guaranteeing reasonable access to voting for all disabled Michiganders.
  • Served as co-counsel in a successful lawsuit against the Michigan High School Athletic Association to ensure all Michigan high school wrestlers have access to sign language interpreters.
  • Served as co-counsel in a successful lawsuit against Detroit Metro Airport to improve accessibility for customers with disabilities.
  • Served as co-counsel in a landmark lawsuit that will change the way blind test takers take the Law School Admission Test.
  • Obtained a conditional preliminary injunction as co-counsel in a lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security to prevent any decorated combat veteran from being forced to return to a work assignment that exacerbates symptoms of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.
